Mike Polsinelli
1957 Chevy Convertible
Mike Polsinelli purchased this car about 5 years ago in a nearby town. It was a "basket case." Mike said that he thought that most of the parts were there when he bought the car but was quite surprised to see the extent of project he had in store for himself. Many trips were made to Carlisle, PA to purchase the parts he would need to assemble the car. He also became good friends with the UPS delivery guy, as he made almost daily deliveries for many years. The 57 received a total frame-off restoration by Mike in his shop "Michael's Automotive" in Ballston Spa, NY and also at his home garage.
When the vehicle was purchased it had very solid floors and still not touched. The car has a 282 cubic inch engine bored .060" over, Power Pack heads, a 200r4 transmission, power steering, power brakes, and many other options. Mike was quoted as saying "I could write a book on this restoration"
Albany Rods and Kustoms would like to thank Mike for sharing his beautiful 57 Chevy Convertible with us and congratulate him on being the 2007 Adirondack Nationals Senior 2nd Place Winner.
