7-9-2010 - - Raffle to Help Family of Fallen Soldier!
We will be raffling off a lifesize cut-out of Dennis Gauge that will be given away this year during our awards ceremony. We hope to have the cut-out signed by Dennis during his visit this fall. All proceeds will be given to the family of Benjamin Osborn, the U.S. Army Specialist from Lake George killed in action in Afghanistan earlier this Summer. Tickets will be available at our event trailer during the Adirondack Nationals this September. I may even make them available online if demand warrants. Albany Rods & Kustoms will pay the shipping costs to send the cut-out to it's winner. (US or Canada mailing addresses only) Please help us raise money for this worthy cause!
I will post a picture of the cut-out very soon.

1-30-2010 - - Thursday, Thursday, Thursday! -
You’ve been asking us to begin vehicle registration on Thursday and we were listening. So this year we have added an “Early Bird Registration”. You will be able to drive through registration on Thursday from Noon till 5pm. On Friday, stickered vehicles should still get in line, but will use the right hand lane to bypass registration and be parked quickly. We are hopeful that this will ease the congestion on Friday morning and make the process less stressful. In addition to the new Thursday hours, we have extended Friday’s registration till 7pm in an effort to help those of you trying to get to Lake George after work and still be able to register your car in time to cruise that night.
We look forward to seeing you in 2010.

11-07-2009 - - Kick-off Party Announcement -
This years Kick-off Party was a huge hit with attendance reaching well over 1000 people. With the number of people steadily increasing and the rising cost of putting it on, we can no longer keep it a free party. As we announced during this years party, beginning in 2010 we will have a cover charge. We have set the cover charge at $10 per person. At this time we are not selling advanced tickets. Guests will pay at the door as they enter the party. The theme for 2010 Kick-Off Party is "Hillbilly".
Thank you for your understanding.
We look forward to seeing you in 2010.

9-16-2009 - Another Fantistic Show
Thanks to everyone who attended the 2009 Adirondack Nationals!
Even with the drizzle on Saturday, it
was one of our best shows ever. It just goes to show that the people who come to our event are some of the most dedicated car enthusiasts around. We hope you all had a great time.
From the comments we received, the kick-off party was well received. It seems that having the food come out right from the start of the party and having the line exit the side of the White Lion Room made the food lines much easier and much faster. We welcomed back The Luster Kings this year and they kept the place rock'n all night.
The show went smoother than ever before. We saw a lot of new faces in the crowd along with many old friends. The weather didn't appear to dampen anyone's spirits. The engine raffle proved to be a big hit, securing it's place in next years show. Bingo started off a little slow but gained momentum Saturday afternoon.
The Mad hatters were at it again selling 50/50 tickets and wearing their new turkey hats. All the money raised from the 50/50 goes to charity and with your help we brought in over $7,000! And what about that awards ceremony? That was the probably the best one to date. With some slight changes it should be even better.
It was sad to see you all leave on Sunday but we are already gearing up for next year! The registration form will be available on the web site in early November and registration will begin on January 31st, 2010.
Keep checking the web site for news and updates!
Thank you!

8-31-2009 - Parking, Parking, Parking
To car show participants; we ask that you please obey our rule about no overnight parking on grass on Thursday or Friday nights. ARK will begin parking cars at 7:00 am and need all grass area open to quickly get vehicles parked. Illegally parked cars will be moved.
For anyone towing a trailer (show car trailer or vendor trailers); ARK has been given permission from the Village of Lake George to sell weekend parking permits for parking in the lot located just below the Fort William Henry (old Action Park). The lot can be accessed from Westbrook Road or from Beach Road. The cost for a weekend pass is $15.00. It allows you to park from Thursday-Sunday. To get a parking permit you can contact Mike Kilmer on Thursday, September 10.
Lastly,
to any Anniversary 50 winners from the 20th Annual show: You are to park with the general population. Only the traditional "Favorite 50" will be parked in a specialty parking area.
Thank you.

Over the past few years we have had a sharp increase in the number of people who go against our rule of parking cars on the grass overnight.
This has been a growing problem as each year more and more people are leaving their cars on the grounds for the weekend. This past year it came to a head because so many non-Fort William Henry (FWH) guests decided to leave their cars overnight that many of the actual FWH guests had no place to park their show vehicles other than the grass. The reason we do not allow anyone to stay parked on the grass is because it becomes a challenge to park around those cars on Friday or Saturday morning and we end up losing spaces because a few cars are out of sync with the parking system. The only other way around this problem is to cut back on the number of registered cars and nobody wants that. We try to allow as many people in the show as possible.
After dealing with many upset FWH guests, we decided to make a NEW rule in relation to parking on the property. Effective this year, the only vehicles allowed to remain on the FWH grounds overnight will be those of guests checked in and staying at the FWH resort. We will be identifying these vehicles as they check in. Eligible vehicles allowed to park on the FWH property must display a special hang tag from the rear-view mirror. After the show ends for the night, we will not allow anyone who isn't a FWH guest to come back on the grounds until the show starts up again at 7am the next morning. Anyone who is not a guest of the FWH is asked to remove their vehicle by 10PM each evening which is when the cruise ends. Those who do not comply will have their registrations pulled, not be eligible for any awards, may be banned from future shows and even worse, could get towed. We hate to be so strict, but the club had a hard time with a few persons trying to park against our “No Parking on grass” rule this past year.
Show vehicles belonging to FWH Guests must be parked in actual parking space somewhere on the pavement. The only exception to this is FWH guests on the lake side of the old hotel who are allowed to park against their rooms and also handicapped participants parked in the designated Handicap Parking area who have permission from the club. Any car found parked on the grass will no longer be eligible for any awards that year and will be not be allowed back the following year. If the owner refuses to move the car it will be towed.
We know that this causes a problem for some of you who always parked on FWH property, but we hope you understand why we had to take this action. Thank you for your continued support.
